Children's Lessons - Term Time Classes
Which lesson is best for my child? For absolute beginners and younger children...
One to One (private) Lessons are usually the best option. These offer an individual approach to suit your child's confidence and ability, helping your child progress quickly, while learning at their own pace. The teacher will be able to focus solely on your child and for children who are nervous in the water the reassurance and support of having their own teacher can make all the difference. Once they are able to swim a short distance unaided they have the option to switch to a Two to One (shared) Lesson with another child their age and level. Two to One Lessons are perfect for those children who have progressed enough to share a lesson with another child.
We will match the level and individual ability of each child to enable them to make the most of their lessons together. If your child enjoys a bit of competition this could be the lesson for them! |
Once your child has mastered the three main strokes they can move on to our squad sessions for more advanced swimmers... Development Squad classes: Squad sessions are part coaching, part teaching group lessons in which the children are taught how to swim far and fast! Working in their own dedicated lane children can refine their technique while working on speed and fitness and practice tumble turns and diving . By keeping the numbers in each squad small we are still able to deliver the technical advice that can be missed in larger squad classes. We offer weekday squads for children aged 7 - 12 years. Paul also runs an advanced 1 hour class (7 - 17 years) on Sunday mornings. How do I enrol?
Our term time lessons are very oversubscribed.
We’re currently running off a waiting list with priority for members of the UCS Active gym and children attending the UCS Pre-Prep and Junior School. |
